Over the course of her stay in her father’s estate, she comforted her father and makes time to visit him and her little sister. The passing of her mother wasn’t the least bit easy to get over, but her visits to the Dyna Tree in Ever Grande made for a strangely fitting therapy session. Elise didn’t bother the real Calyrex much as she knows the little hare king is busy with the barrier keeping the Dynamaxed Pokemon out. [break][break]

Looking to the sky, the rifts around Mt. Pyre are still there. While she has a few theories on what Pokemon would’ve caused the rifts, there was no real way to see what kind had made those gaping dimensional rifts. [break][break]

Aside from trying to investigate if the rifts would give her concern for the people that come here, Elise takes her Kartana to train near the burial grounds. The shard Calyrex comes with the ambassador and the paper-like Ultra Beast as Charles is there to make sure the female Kartana is all patched up by his healing.

As Derek prowled along the path up Mt Pyre, he mused over the strange turn his life had taken recently. He hadn't cared much for his family, and had built a better one amongst the pit fighters in the underbelly of Galar's major cities, but this was also the furthest he had ever been from his home. His longest standing partners, the only ones he had cared to bring on this new adventure in this strange land.

He had made landfall in a minor port, and quickly found a illegal fighting pit in Lilycove. He spent a week getting into fights there, building up his funds to start catching new Pokémon to train for the pits. After a week of winning most of his matches, he was approached to join a criminal group called Team Rocket. He had heard a little about them while in Galar, and the rumors of their brutal nature intrigued him. He thought it over for a small amount and time and had agreed.

Needing to expand his personal team, he asked around and was interested in the abundance of psychic and ghost types common to Mt Pyre. He grabbed his trio, and all his empty pokeballs, and grabbed a lift from another grunt who was coming out this way for some mission. Being as this place could be dangerous, what with all the wild ghosts, Derek had his Ceruledge walking beside him to watch his back. Looking ahead, Derek saw a well dressed red haired woman.

Nodding to her, Derek gave a laid back "Hullo there," as he drew near her. "See any interesting Pokemon around today?"

A greeting comes from a man with dark hair and his Ceruledge when he asks her a question. The burial grounds around Mt. Pyre were very quiet, so the woman assumes that the wild Pokemon never bother people who were coming to pay their respects to the deceased. Knowing that the Pokemon wouldn’t bother her while she came here to pay a visit to her mother’s grave gave her some comfort.[break][break]

“Hello to you as well.” The ambassadur returns the greeting in a refined fashion when the man draws a bit nearer to her. “No, I haven’t seen any Pokemon around today, but I assume they did not want to bother my coming.”[break][break]

A sharp turn from the Kartana would alert the Ultra Beast to the presence of a strange tumbleweed Pokemon. When the Brambleghast jumps out to see the appearance of the diplomat here, the wild ghost type Pokemon is met with a Night Slash from the protective origami Pokemon. Sharp paper from Yamato Takeru’s left arm cuts through the wood of the Brambleghast as Elise takes notes of the wild ghost.[break][break]

Elise ends up in throwing a Dusk Ball towards the keeled over Brambleghast as the female Kartana returns to her side.

Derek nodded at the woman's words. Seeing the nearby graveyard, he wasn't surprised that many of the local pokemon kept their distance. Attacking grieving visitors would be a good way to get removed, either by capture or kill. He was about to respond, when he saw a small pokemon from beside the woman suddenly move and take down a ghost in a single blow. Giving a wary, assessing stare, a bit of interest entered Derek's voice.

"First time seeing one of those. What kind of pokemon is that, and are they hard to find?" Derek's attention was pulled to Ceruledge when it hissed angrily at a Sigilyph that seemed to be approaching aggressively. "What a pain. Ceruledge, knock it out and bring it to me."

The Ceruledge nodded, swiping it's blades against each other in a quick Swords Dance before charging at the incoming bird. He took a Psybeam to the chest, but seemed to ignore it with an angry hiss and he leaped at the Sigilyph, and lashed out with a pair of Shadow Claws. The second claw knocked the bird loopy, but before Ceruledge could lash out again it was interrupted by a pokeball hitting the Sigilyph in the head.

Derek turned back to the red head, his arm retracting from the throw. "Anyways, m'name's Derek."

He brings up the small paper-like Pokemon that attacked the wild Brambleghast and since he was interested, Elise responds to his inquiry. “This Pokemon is my Kartana and she is a little hard to find, but Charles and I ended up rescuing Yamato when she was hurt by poachers.” Though the female diplomat was the one that treated Yamato Takeru’s wounds, she had the healing prowess of the shard of Calyrex to thank for that. [break][break]

Speaking of which… The High King of Bountiful Harvests floats over after he had been investigating one of the graves and checks over the smaller Ultra Beast. “I am sure that she’s fine, Charles.” Elise’s words over to the legendary shard made the hare king stop checking on the Ultra Beast though he still remains by the Kartana’s side.[break][break]

Turning towards the dark-haired man, the Galarian Ambassador introduces her name in return. “It is a pleasure to meet you, Derek. My name is Elise Calcifet.” Royal grace shows through the ambassador's introduction through years of being raised on the royal court's etiquette.
